You may have seen my daughter Anna on ABC’s Australian Story last night. I’m so proud of my darling girl.  However much I worry as a mother, as a woman, I admire what she’s doing. To anyone who has shared their own story of abuse and violence, or needs support, please know there is help available including 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732, Lifeline on 13 11 14 and @thesurvivorhub
There’s no place in social media for harmful and violent content. We’re cracking down.
Spent yesterday afternoon with conservationist Dr Jane Goodall, and lots of fantastic young people doing great things to protect animals and the environment. Jane reminds us we can all play our part to protect the planet.

A woman is murdered every four days in Australia. We all need to do better.
Protecting our community is not censorship.
We know the biggest threat to coral reefs worldwide is climate change. The Great Barrier Reef is no exception. Yesterday @nitagreenqld and I were briefed by our scientists about the current situation on the reef and how our record $1.2 billion interventions are being rolled out. We want to make sure that we’re doing our bit to protect our precious reef.
Eastern quolls have been extinct on the Australian mainland since the 1920s. So it was pretty special to be able to release one into a new purpose-built wildlife enclosure in Booderee National Park. We’ve invested $600,000 into the new 80-hectare sanctuary at the park’s Botanic Gardens. Its 1.8-meter-high fence and special curved top will help protect the quolls from predators like foxes. Proud. @wwf_australia @parksaustralia @shoalhavencitycouncil @ouranu @tarongazoo @devilsatcradle @trowunna_wildlife_sanctuary @aussieark

Check out those eyebrows! Macquarie Island is a penguin paradise. We’re working to keep it that way by tripling the size of Macquarie Island Marine Park – one of the biggest environmental conservation efforts in the world.
It’s Earth Day and we have approved another huge new clean energy project. This wind farm will generate enough energy to power 240,000 Queensland homes. And it will save up to 813,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions every year – equivalent to taking 225,000 cars off the road. Another big step in our plan to make Australia a renewable energy superpower.
We’re stepping up to drive Australia’s transition to a circular economy. Today I launched Australia’s first national Environmentally Sustainable Procurement Policy. It will help cut waste to landfill, boost demand for recycled products and reduce emissions – all while supporting good, local jobs.
